TCC’s underlying ethos is developing a place where individuals and families are celebrated. Our activities will have an emphasis on building communication and strengthening relationships between children and adults by encouraging them to learn and experience fun together.
FOCUSING ON THE FAMILY
At TCC we will have a range of monthly family focused activities as we believe that intergenerational activities are a way for the whole family to have fun. . Aside from teaching the youngsters a thing or two, it will enhance that all important bond between the generations.
What are the benefits of Intergenerational Activity
At TCC, we believe that every family including low income families, (whether birth family, blended, adopted or foster family), should have somewhere local, to turn for fun and socialisation and support. Family life comes naturally with a whole range challenges and steep learning curves, celebrations and successes.
We know from vast experience that family life does not always work out the way we had hoped or anticipated.
Our eclectic programme of activities and workshops celebrate parenting as a precious gift and task. A task that comes with ‘inbuilt’ natural challenges. We want you to be a part of the TCC so we can learn together and build better futures for our families and community.
We work in partnership with both statutory and universal services to which we can sign post you for more specialised support and help.

Outdoor Area:
TCC has a small outdoor area that will be host to barbecues, social evenings, table games and provide an extension to your private celebrations (weather permitting).
The area can be arranged with tables and outdoor lighting to suit you budget and the occasion.
Gardening:
Planting, weeding and harvesting in the garden, is a great opportunity for the family to get outdoors together. While the older generation get to pass down their knowledge about growing flowers, vegetables and herbs, children get to learn. They also get to participate and eventually see the results of their efforts as they will also be able to take home samples to grow at home.
Children enjoy seeing life grow, and they’ll come to understand the importance of caring for nature. Furthermore, they’ll understand how to work in a team and the benefits of eating all the healthy veggies that they’ve planted.
We bring together people from across the local community to boost wellbeing, reduce loneliness and foster a stronger and happier community by creating joyful cultural and intergenerational experiences.
Support for community Projects
TCC will bring people together to work on wider community projects, such as organising clean-ups or working on improving open spaces.
It’s not all about what goes on within four walls. TCC will provide outreach to the wider community and work to improve the town, city and overall local environment for everyone. Visit our projects page
